OFFICIAL (no, really!)
Monday, February 23rd

Okay... I've obsessively checked over everything, and last night's final final final results have been officially certified.  Congrats to the winners, and copious apologies to the those who were erroneously named so on the first go around.

You can go to the wrap-up page for the full standings and some notes on this year's pool, and I'll shortly be appending this year's screwups to the Hall of Fame as a permanent reminder of the year that Dom totally botched the results.

Sorry again, folks, but thanks for your patience, hope you enjoyed it and we hope to see you all again next year!

Sunday, February 22nd

Well, this is embarassing.

12 years running the pool and we've never had a screwup of this magnitude.  But it turns out we had both the actor / actress and supporting actor / supporting actress titles swapped on the picks spreadsheet.  Again, all picks were correctly entered, but the titles were swapped, causing a mismatch between the winner and the picks for that category.  Incidentally, the first should have clued me into the second.  In the years before the website, we'd swap the male / female order for the acting categories every year.  When we put up the website, we stopped switching, because while it's easy to reorder the categories in a Word file, it's a big pain to do so with the online form.  Everything else has always remained constant (except for the merging of the score categories and addition of animated feature).  So, for those who are curious, without realizing it, the template I used was from one of the earlier years with the males / females in the wrong order.  In any case, revised winners are now above.  I'll be double-checking everything very carefully tonight... consider them tentative pending supercareful review... but here's a revised (and embarrassed) congratulations to Emily Shrift, for taking the win in her first year!  Michael Fang still finishes in the money -- his fourth year running -- and another first-timer, Jackie Khoo, rounds out the money positions, just missing on a tiebreaker.

Check back for final final final confirmation tomorrow, when we'll also reveal how I intend to punish myself for botching this year's results.

Sunday, February 22nd

Michael Fang, his second consecutive win!

Rounding out the money positions are Dave Innis and Teddy Neff, Dave edging Teddy on a tiebreaker.

We'll get a little wrap-up with some stats posted tomorrow, but in the meantime you can check out the Live Updates page for the full results.

Congratulations to the winners, and we hope to see you all again next year... we promise, the website will be fixed  :-)

Sunday, February 22nd

With apologies, folks (a theme for this year, apparently), I need to point out a small problem on the posted scoresheet.  The supporting actor and supporting actress categories are reversed.  All of the picks are correct, it's just the titles that are reversed.

Sunday, February 22nd

The picks are up!

Above, you see two links.  The first is to the picks spreadsheet, in Excel format, that details everybody's picks and allows you to follow along if you like.  Entering the winner at the top of the sheet in place of the Xs (A-E, in the same order as shown on the entry form) will automatically calculate scores, as well as tons of obsessive statistics that nobody but us care about.  Alternatively, and more simly, the second link is to the live updates page, which we'll be updating real-time as every category is awarded tonight.

Good luck to all, and stop back at the end of the ceremony for the winners!

Sunday, February 22nd

Just a few hours to the deadline!

We've responded to everything we've received so far, so if you have not received a confirmation E-mail from myself or Amanda, your entry is not complete!  We know of at least a couple of people who were caught by the problem with the submission form Friday night / Saturday afternoon.  So even if it looked like your form went through properly, it's possible it did not.

Drop us a line if you have any questions... pick spreadsheet shortly!

Saturday, February 21st

The form is fixed!

Sorry for the trouble, folks, but the online submission form is once again working properly.  Again, however, there was a gap where it appeared to users that the form was submitting, when it fact it was not.  So if you have not received a confirmation from Amanda or myself, assume that we do not have your form and resubmit.  Because of the trouble, the revised deadline of noon EST tomorrow, Sunday February 22nd stands. You can expect the picks to be posted around 2:00-3:00 tomorrow afternoon, EST.

Good luck, all, and remember that you can watch the results live here!
